"Stefanie Krücke graduated as Industrial Designer from the University of Arts Braunschweig in 2007 and is also a trained carpenter with more than 15 years of work experience in Industrial and Transportation Design - mainly within the yachting and superyacht industry. After graduating her studies with a specialisation in transportation design she started as freelance designer for Volkswagen Interior Design. During her time at the Institute of Transportation Design in Braunschweig she developed interior design concepts in collaboration with the Volkswagen R&D team.
Already her diploma thesis - the concept yacht KITANO - combined the traditional mono hull sailing yacht with the innovative kite propulsion and was awarded with the London Boat Show Overall & Pure Concept award. This concept project and her passion for windsurfing and sailing lead her way to the well-known yacht design studio JUDEL/VROLIJK&CO and she joined the design team as Industrial Designer. During these 5 years she was responsible for a wide range of projects within the yachting industry. The development and design of interior and exterior designs for sailing and motor yachts for several production yards as well as one-off sailing yachts and passenger vessels in close collaboration with all involved parties like naval architects, designers, engineers, clients and vendors enriched her wide range of experience.
In 2013 Stefanie took the challenge as Head of Design at BAVARIA YACHTBAU to establish a new design department and culture within the yard - similar to the automotive industry. While managing the design team and establishing a new overall design process from concept to implementation, she was developing new design strategies and concepts as well as supervising the design process concerning coordination and communication within the yard as well as with all design related third parties like external designers, naval architects, engineers, suppliers for BAVARIA YACHTBAU’s motor and sailing yacht projects from 18 to 56ft.
With founding her own design office in Hamburg for industrial design and yacht design, she offers her enthusiasm for design and her eye for details as well as her experience in management and coordination to clients within the yachting and super yacht industry. This gives her the opportunity to transfer her experiences to new yachting projects in order to develop compelling and thoughtful solutions that address future trends, demonstrate market awareness and exceed clients’ expectations. As a team orientated problem solver with an emphasis on concept development and design management, who is not afraid of being challenged and loves to think outside the box, her enthusiasm in developing new ideas and designing products from research, sketch to implementation assures an innovative and holistic design experience for her clients."
